Giving up money in young years also may mean giving up future opportunities that cost money - hence giving up a free future
Money itself is nothing negative at all - it always depends on what you do with money. Money can be converted into love - by helping needy ones, by paying elementary school education - but also by financing your own future education for job you love.
In young years - i.e. from mid teenage until 40+ - people need lots of experiences to mature and grow strong in life - specially men need to expand horizon and learn other jobs, other cultures, see other countries before being strong enough to offer an ocean of love and all security needed by a loved woman who loves to fall in love rather than to fear all life alongside a weak one.
Hence your giving up a better earning job in Alaska for an easier job in Hawaii may also cut into smaller pieces your future potential to find jobs abroad or anywhere in this entire world. as an organic farmer you find no jobs at all - unless you own your own farm. If ever you have plans to explore this world - then you need a job that opens doors to the world.
However if you really feel attracted to farming - do it - but it has to feel GOOD all the way else there is something wrong with your decision.
farming is one of the absolute most demanding jobs i have ever seen in regard to real professional knowledge and skills. however it may depend on the type of farming of course. the farmers I know from my earlier neighborhood of our farm - they had to know:
- mason
- welding
- basic veterinary medicine
- extensive knowledge of all trees and plants
- forestry
- carpenter
- mechanic
- and many other skills and knowledge beyond above listed
for that reason most farmers grow up on fathers farm and work decades before being allowed to take fathers' farm over. a take over of a farm usually takes place beyond age 40 - after learning and working some 30-40 years on father's farm. most farmers do all selfstudy. I know of NO other job on this entire planet that is even nearly as demanding - physically in all other ways than a farm or farmer job is.
Hawaii seems to be a very special place for jobs - when I was ready to leave my job as dive resort manager in the Rep Maledives in 1981 - I was applying for various jobs in different countries in such position. One offer I got was from Maui / Hawaii this offer had by very far the lowest salary - that time us$ 450 with the very highest cost of living ... That was a tiny fraction of a decent salary for such a position / qualification - hence I denied. Once caught in Hawaii - I thought all is far more expensive - including travel TO and from Hawaii onward in life. It was an absolute ridiculous offer by someone looking for a workhorse slave.
if a job is really important - then the salary also is decent and honest allowing you to move onward in life. Keep that in mind whatever choice you make in your entire future. Life always needs to be an endless road forward and upward - hence your job NOW alway needs to be sufficient to pay education and travel onward in your life where ever you work and where ever you want to go after. A job is a vehicle to open doors for a better future. Cheap jobs means no appreciation for the work you do - cheap jobs means someone has a boring job TOO boring, too dirty or too hard to be done by himself - hence he / she is looking for a stupid guy to do HIS job to free him for a better job.
Mankind is NEVER made for such monkey business job deals !!!
Working for the rich - to help poor ones - what you wrote in your recent donation - that sounds fine - extend it:
working for the rich - to help you earn your own top education for your own better future. there are many kind of intense professional seminars, workshops or colleges available, if you know what you want to learn and by the time you have a need to learn such. before you know exactly what you love to do - travel and work jobs like Alaska for another while until you are so sure about your future change.

whenever I made major changes in my life in earlier decades I was excited about the unknown but challenging future. I made major decisions and major changes far beyond your move Alaska to Hawaii -ö like Switzerland - Bangladesh, or Zaire or Haiti - extreme countries and yet always excited by the new and challenging. because I always had jobs guaranteeing free choice for the future beyond that job/location.
A decision into a one way road or death end road in life may lead to darkness - a decision into a fine job offering a fine future always should be accompanied by joy!
Your planned visit here
Any time is fine as long as it fits into your own jobs and travel schedule. I will be here and there and everywhere - hence traveling as needed - and latest in August also on the mandatory out of country trip that I use to get my newest laptop replacement, since my wish-list model is only available in Hong Kong or Thailand - I will have to travel there for a short while during my annual visa-trip.
Just let me know a week or two ahead and I will know how and where to meet you. I will mostly stay at high tech places the coming months since I have plenty of publishing in the waiting queue to be executed.
Job and duty always is first priority - then all else - hence match your travel around your jobs to be done - then all fits perfectly.
Another later option also might be Christmas time - several parties have announced already now their coming for many weeks during Christmas time.
How long to stay ?
Last time you were totally unprepared, this time the situation might be different - as a general rule:
- the older you are the longer a stay makes sense
- the more you have arranged all your life - the more you spiritually benefit here
- a long stay is best if you are prepared to go beyond 3-6 hours of kriya yoga daily - because: it's all about God and love - hence about increasing spiritual progress.
- the stronger you are the more you benefit.
- for all those having decades of challenging work and more than 6 hours of kriya yoga already before in daily life - a duration of several months may make spiritual sense and be beneficial
- for a re-orientation in life - a few days up to maximum 3 weeks would be plenty. your last visit years ago - just a few days have been enough to shake you out of your death end road and wake you for real life ...
