Below an example of reuse or recycling of tires. Each country has some excellent ideas unique to that country. Here in the Philippines I have seen below shown tire recycling / tire reuse examples widespread since many years.

Recycling or reusing of old material and scrap becomes more important than ever. Environment protection has become a firm part of most on this planet. Resources are limited and reuse or recycling of any natural resources makes sense.

Have a look at the below shown ideas of reusing old tires and you'll find your own modified applications to reuse tires. Of course new used tires most often are renewed with a new layer of rubber to extend their lifetime. After a while however a tire definitely has become too old, too weak to be refreshed and reused safely for use on a car. Hence that is the moment when old tires can be reused.

I have seen larger models of pots - used as trash bins - trash bins made of car tires or truck tires of course have one major advantage over regular plastic or metal trash bins - common trash bins are loud, NOISY when moved around. Trash bins made of large tires are SILENT. And if ever you drop a trash bin made of a tire on your foot - it's softer than a metal or hard plastic bin !!

Flower pots shown below last many many years, so do trash cans made of old car or truck tires. Many years of useful life extension.

Same of similar reuse of tires of course also could be manufactured in large scale operation. Typically such recycling methods here are used by small family business that produce hundreds of pots made of tires. Usually very few tools are needed and no or simple machinery. Hence such tire recycling methods are ideal for small business with very limited capital.

A solid swing attached like a small Hammock between 2 trees or palms. A rock solid swing for adults or children. NO metal parts, NO parts to get injured, all made of a tire - made to last. Hopefully you know how to tie a correct knot!

Flower pots of similar shape in different sizes - all made from old tires. Larger tires = larger pots.

Flower pot made of tires. Cut and then stitched together with strong strings or with metal wire. Various methods depending on size of pots and type of car tires. Truck tires give very large pots that usually are used in the Philippines as trash bins. To better carry large trash bins made of tire - a handle - also made of tire material is attached on both sides to allow easy handling. The pot shown is hold together with metal wire - I have also seen others sewn with strong strings instead of metal wire or metal clamps..

These above examples of car tire reuse show practical application of "waste" available for free that can be converted into something truly useful and even valuable. May above examples of tire recycling inspire you to further ideas and kick on your own creativity in reusing or recycling valuable resources in your own country.

Another use of car tires I have seen many years ago in India - shoemakes repairing shoes used car tires to make soles of worn shoes. Keep in mind that millions of people may have up to hundreds of pair of shoes while hundreds of Millions of people may have NO shoes at all or one single pair that is cared for as long as possible. Rich ones waste this entire planet while poor or hard working ones may be happy to have just a little bit of our all resources for a happy life.

To love means to protect our all environment and to handle with care all our God given resources
