Actually my parents forgot to teach me many things in life - neither Hans nor Liesel ever talked about sex - no wonder in a marriage where sexuality is fully denied or suppressed. ...
But more importantly - my parents - both - Hans and Liesel forgot to teach me how to fail in life !! Why ?? Because Hans with his 8 years of elementary school and zero professional education at all - he never failed in his entire life. Liesel with her 5 years of elementary school - she never failed in her life.
Hans and Liesel always succeeded in anything and everything they ever started. all life long ! Both have grown up under very poor and most difficult situations during late world war 2 - both came from poor parents. Both got nothing at all form their parents. Both had to work, earl and learn ALL on their own and from scratch ...
and yet
both succeeded in all they ever needed, wanted and started. Problems in a poor farmers family or even before while working unqualified factory or mining jobs have been normal in daily life. I NEVER heard them saying ONE single time "i don't know", "I don't know how to ...", "I cannot do ..."
All work, repair of any kind and other problems to be done or solved - mason, carpenter, welder, car repair, electric installations, growing rainbow trouts, growing a huge variety of vegetables, fruits, berries and much, much more - Hans learned it all on his own whenever something needed to be done. Hans was continuously working, learning and improving even in his very old age of 80+ he kept on improving and learning NEW things for real life !! Getting up more or less a life long as early as 4 AM and ending the working day late night was normal ... 7 days a week and zero vacation a life long was daily routine - Hans never said "I am tired" ... nor did he ever say "I am too weak ..." - Hans was just working and working and solving all problems to clear the path of success in life.
Real success in life NEVER is measured by thousands or millions of dollars you earn - but by how much you learn, solve and accomplish for the wellbeing of all. for farmers it is normal to keep on working all life to feed all planet. a true farmer never retires - God never retires, God never stops feeding all planet - all creation with his most loving life force
Whatever difficulties occurred in their life daily yearly ... of any kind, they always thought about how to solve - and of course they always where working, thinking and aiming at a solution - thus they both always succeeded.
Since they never showed me how to fail - to fail never was an option in life. the only option in life i ever saw day after day from my parents hard working life was ... how hard to work, how creative to be ... to succeed. i saw that all, any and every situation always has a solution !!
Even in their failed marriage they succeeded finally - just shortly before i left Europe for good Liesel said that NOW - decades after divorce she would marry Hans again ... both are eternal partners, that means both have learned all lessons needed to find together - may be for good, for eternity, may be soon after both drop their physical body.
Learning from life, learning from all the most painful mistakes in life is a most important feature of all who always succeed. Both have learned a real lot after their divorce - both have made up repeatedly for the mistakes made during their marriage. Hence both are soon ready to re-unite in true and eternal love.
No matter what mistakes your own parents have done - all parents always have done many things perfectly. learn from all the gifts of love, SEE and learn all the treasures of life your parents gave you.
