Carefully piling up all salt
Keep salt clean and free from clay soil
All workers work barefeet to keep salt clean
First the salt is accumulated in rows, then piled up the size of one basket
All salt needs to be piled up cleanly first. When an entire field is prepared so far, then the final step further below starts. To hand carry all salt into the nearby salt storage.
This step of piling up all salt accumulated at the bottom of each salt field needs to be done carefully to avoid any soil being mixed up with the salt.
When a field is completely prepared - the salt is filled into baskets
Each basket weighs approximately 10kg
Now the hardest work starts
All salt has to be hand carried to the nearby storage house

Imagine all world stops valueing your own work and we all would pay you only 2,50 dollars per day for the very same hard and important work you do now. How wold you feel then if no one appreciates your work or if all world abuses your temporary emergency during the current global crisis, foreclosure or losing your job ....
If we all think about how we would feel, then may be one day we appreciate other people's work as much as we want our work to be valued. Thus one day when we all are grown up and mature, we will stop abusing "3rd world countries" for cheap labor and start paying exactly the very same amount per hour as we wish to receive.
It is a wonderful feeling deep inside your own heart to experience when you start to give the full and same amount per hour to services and products received from others as you receive for products and services rendered by you to others. Try it - you'll enjoy a new lifestyle!
During this entire photo session I have never seen a single person smiling. There is nothing to smile at all - with this type of work and even less with the amount of pay per day. barely enough to survive, but definitely too little for a comfortable life or even a happy life!
It is in our all hands to pay substantially - multiple - for such basic products of life to assure that all serving us and providing basic needs of our own life have a life as pleasant as our own life is.
