More testing of all forums by existing forum-users / members and feedback please
My recent call for feedback/testing has resulted in NO real feedback except an error message by a NEW member.
Existing members - test please and give some feedback.
The 5 different forums have different configurations and thus different behavior. Testing of all 5 forums by existing forum members and instant feedback about success and/or encountered problems is highly appreciated and welcome.
to be tested and confirmed are
- post new topic
- reply to existing topic, i.e. you post new topic and another one of you posts a reply to that new topic
- new member sign up ( will occur automatically as soon as forum OPEN again -ä NOW forum still in re-testing phase!!
A known and repeatedly occurring error is a failure to process mail-notification to admin ( me ) and / or subscribed forum-members. that problem is solved now and then again and again and may re-occur as a result of MYSELF changing MAIL-server configuration in my work to streamline all legal email address verification by all kriyayoga.com smtp (mail) server users. some of the filters I applied blocked forum mail to be sent via mail server.
Mail filter testing still is ongoing and the purpose of that MILTER testing is in NO way to avoid spam but to avoid illegal spam - i.e. spam that has NO legal header, no legal sender and no legal recipient in.
All those receiving spam resulting in a legal sender's address spoofed or real, and legal recipients address are the sole responsibility of the email address holder. Whoever uses eMail service in conjunction with chat, forums, mail lists, etc WILL automatically appear in public records with his/her eMail address and sooner or later be grabbed by some illegal eMail address collectors who abuse public profile information for their spam purpose or even for reselling illegally collected address lists for commercial use by spam specialized mail promotion companies.
that latter is part and price of our open www society and in no way avoidable - else we / I - would also reject many other valid eMails.
If you have ONE eMail address for ALL your eMails - then eMail filter ( precisely called by its technical name MILTER = from Mail Filter ) can easily be applied INSIDE your computers eMail-clients filter capacity. Any professional eMail clients of top class such as "Thunderbird", evolution or Kmail can do such filtering very efficiently for you.
