Acer has moved the link i once found and joined the instructions for my Acer Laptop TravelMate 6003LCi with the Ferrari models. To assure that you find the original instructions easily - here a clean excerpt from the acer support site. Unfortunately all Acer sites that i know so far are some of the most poorly designed HTML pages in the entire web i have ever seen, finding it through Google or Yahoo is nearly impossible - hence my SEO version of it for you to save you the time it took me to find it, my dealer and Acer PH had no knowledge at all about where and how to find and replace the hidden 2nd ram slot ...
Instructions for removing the keyboard to upgrade memory in the hidden slot
Solution
Removing the Keyboard
1. Remove the four screws that secure the middle cover, two on each side
2. Detach the middle cover with the assistance of a plastic flat head screw driver.
3. Turn the unit over and remove the two screws marked with the letter "K" is next to both screws
4. Turn the unit back over and remove the three screws along the top edge of the keyboard as the picture shows
5. Unsnap the keyboard out of the base of the unit and lay it upside down on the palm rest area of the base of the unit. This will expose the memory socket for removal or installation of memory
6. Reverse the procedure to reassemble the unit
