however - be careful and verify / re-validate first ...

whenever you insert new modules or code components into existing pages you have to assure yourself first that the code you insert is valid XHTML.

i had to adjust existing code of self made code from regular HTML 4.01 pages - for example the poll always is created in HTML code ...

may be its time for me to learn XHTML as well ;-)

today i made a "stress test" for this loveblog to see how the software
and the 1and1.com server behave under extreme use when many request per
second need to be served.

it all went fine and as far as i see - all files have been displayed
properly and fully

if you have any problems in reading any of the files
may be its a browser problem and you need to update your browser to the
really last version

i use of course a most current version of Mozilla Firefox from

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/releases/
for the moment its a pre-release (beta-version) - the final version is
expected to be published in about early November 2004

i have sometimes the situation that it displays a correct current date
but no content for that date
i have no precise idea of the cause
and the original project of easymoblog.org appears since end of
September 2004 to be death or on vacation.
several eMails to the project remained without any reply.

so its all up to us users ... never mind,
usually when a page remains empty - a reload of the same URL solves the
problem
but sometimes i have to repeat the reload a few times ...

so it can either be a browser problem
or an overload of the server for the database - hence the reason to make
today's stress text with a fully automated client. that client i used
is kind of browser used for full speed download of several pages, one
at a time but at max speed whatever my broadband and the server handles ;-)

separate servers are used for my regular HTML pages and for the MySQL
database at 1and1.com hosting.

anyway

even under heavy load, at least 10 - 100 times heavier than any regular
surfing situation, the blog displayed apparently all files correctly.

among many other things i downloaded on a broadband connection all posts
by post and by day
i.e. all URLs
