and this minute finish the download of my 5 full iso images = 5 CDs with
some 3.4 GB SuSE Linux 9.2 professional
a total of approximately 52.5 hrs of non-stop download via Bali Hai
Beach Resort broadband wireless connection.
thats my new record in very largest single download of all previous
times ;-))

and the longer i work with my new RAM extension of 1 GB the more I enjoy
it - no longer waiting for the CPU just working and working any number
of -processes,
its really worth to get maximum RAM for a laptop - work is much more
pleasant if things are flowing smoothly.

now its morning and after a few hrs rest i may most likely be on the way
south - that means offline work and only now and then in an Internet
cafe online for emailing - later i might be in Mindoro and have my ultra
high speed wireless connection again - free for life John said once
earlier this summer ;-)

many nice people are waiting on the way in the islands and i am happy to
be on the "road"

ferry boat

and lots to do and to enjoy and write about
about honeymoon island Boracay first - then i may learn to make video
clips with my Sony SC P10 camera

Yahoo search blog team seems to love Firefox as well
they post in their Yahoo blog

but apparently at Yahoo they missed the Web Developer tool bar for Firefox
or may be they are scared to faint when validating their blog ??

it is most apparent to me during the past many months that IT people
earn far too much money - may be by factor 10 -too much and because of
such extreme salary most are extremely careless about quality of life -
they have too much money and no need to learn and improve as they belief
it always may stay that way

but the key of course is that for that very reason they are IT pros and
no medical doctors or helicopter pilots or taxi drivers or scuba
instructors ...
they are student students to learn to be safe for a later real life with
living beings for work - now its but simulation and dry runs on death
computers - practicing with bits and bytes what later on is done in real
life with loved ones for eternity.

imagine a taxi driver making as many mistakes each day as an average
developer of software tools or web sites
or a surgeon - he could move his theater to the morgue
or a scuba instructor - he would better live in a sub to avoid being
arrested each day for drowning customers
or a cook - he creates as many mistakes - then all his customers die of
food poisoning or salmonella infection

but all these people have a job with real people
]while in IT people first LEARN in dry theory with death objects to
regain some degree of professionality and reliability before being
allowed to practice on life humans

its a serious situation but a true fact

while the most important jobs are those with the lowest pay - all of
those have to do with real and live objects - humans, animals, plants, food
all those also have a high degree of probability to cause fatalities
when making even a single bug / mistake at work.

a "simple" mechanic for any major car manufacturer never would keep his
job when creating mistakes as each single mistake means wasted material
causing thousands or more US $ for a single mistake during one second.
damage that no industry ever could carry - mistakes of the kind as
produced by software developers are totally fatal to any real world
industry. for that reason a virtual training world has been created to
give a platform of near real situation to simulate real life for later.

has like so many blogs a few dozen errors

for myself i have seen that the single greatest source of validation
errors is the copy and paste of highly professional code from
"reputable" major search engines.
Google is no better in their JavaScript code or form code - all wrong
and all outdated stuff.

so what to do ?
clean up again and again
hundreds of hours each year just for clean up of the CA
actually an additional full time job ...

i am happy that at home we have nothing like that - only in our earthly
training world
