here on Boracay its raining while there in Angeles City they all eat sweets, Meringue and even worst ... now they eat Vermicelles at Hotel Swiss Chalet as Hans emailed me recently. ..

may be
they ALL do nothing else but eat Meringue and Vermicelle every day - day and night - while i have wet feet from working outdoors in wet sandy internet cafe ...

Since my previous Google adsense paycheck somehow either got lostin the postal mess here on Boracay or sent to the old address in La Union ... I may soon have to travel to La Union to check my mail box there ... a travel that only can go via - Angeles City of course - to test the announced delicacies from Restaurant Swiss Chalet - Angeles City, finally we need pictures ! pictures can only be made from things i know and have tested / tried / endorsed / validated

Rainy days in Boracay
- wet working conditions for IT pros to come here ...

Now since almost a weeks it rains hours - these past days almost half days or more ... while the water is still tropical warm - the air is getting cooler and most people stay away from the water or beach activities. may be just the right wheather for Honeymoon!

These days is mostly rainy on Boracay island - cloudy sky but moderate sea - water warm enough to invite for an extended swim.


so rainy that even the Red Pirates carried their pirate ship to shore and prefer to stay inside their cozy little pirate bar ...


a few of those still to come may be reminded that Mabini's Places offers no comfort for computer work nor does it offer a truly dry room to safekeep a laptop or other high tech equipment. one of the early days I had myself a leaking roof on two spots - fortunately only on the bed and the space between beds and nothing on the laptop. rooms are nice but VERY basic and have no furniture for cloths or equipment. Bring your laptops in a safe carrying bad and bring a large solid plastic bag to protect your laptop from accidental rainfall into your room !!!


These rainy days the working area is Angol Center - the Internet cafe with wireless hotspot hidden in a kind of construction site. Floor wet - feet wet and laptop sometimes humid as well if rain is blown deep into the open shelter area.

Make sure you have for such stormy rain-emergencies a water/rain proof protection at hand for your laptop !!

i am scheduled to stay here until the departure of the last really confirmed visitor - i.e. approx September 18th 2005 - then one more family ( gg ) may arrive and spend a retreat here or where ever best suitable - then after the long summer I may most likely withdraw for an extensive working period until Christmas time.
