Since at least 3 years it was apparent that ping services to ping blog directories and RSS feed directories are needed. Years ago existing ping services or ping sites such as the ones out of service below all have been too weak to cope with the ever increasing demand by the rapidly growing number of sites. Each quality site has at least one blog with an RSS feed plus eventually a few additional RSS feeds as needed. Thus professional sites each creating up to several articles per day or at least a few pages per week - that means millions of pings to be served to meet the industry need of global web publishers.

Attempts to motivate a highly qualified software developper to bring up such a ping service have repeatedly failed. Just as attempts to find a qualified and motivated developper for my blog software or access_log software have failed.

In modern times people are motivated to earn money - but few only are motivated and willing to actually work a honest share of efforts for the money earned.

As a result of ongoing global crisis reflecting our work moral, all - really all - major ping services went out of service during the past very few weeks. These below listed ping services, some of them working for several years, all ceased to work during this time of global crises. With ping services out of service, many of the RSS feed directories or blog directories also may soon go out of business for the simple reason as their RSS/blog directory data no longer are updated via pings! Hence one lazy software developper / site owner may cause a chain reaction and cause dozen of other family businesses out of existence within days, weeks or maximum a few months.

This error message appears now since several weeks. System maintenance for such as tiny site / service is a matter of minutes or hours at best, even an entire server move would take but a very few days maximum. It thus is safe to assume that this service is out of business for good.

This error message first started to occur years ago and now is default server reply when attempting to ping. With the last Blog article on pingomatic being posted on April 30, 2006, it is safe to assume that there no longer is any human care for this site or service.

The end of all above 3 ping servers has been predictable since at least 2 years. Yet no one among the global SW developper has grabbed the opportunity to jump in and create a new, faster, more powerful or better service to create release for sometimes overloaded servers of a.m. ping sites.

Such a free ping service may only have a few thousand active users per day and may bring only a few hundred US$ of advertisement revenue per months if properly done. However for many in third world country such a sum of a few hundred US$ per months in addition to already existing revenues may make the difference between a happy life or a struggle for bare survival. As long as SW developers charge or receive up to US$ 65 per hour, it is apparent than most of them have no interest in any useful and helpful community services. Later when their 65$/hr are but memories in a global crisis it may be too late to catch up and start community services.

The very first chance to grab an opportunity usually is the only one and best opportunity for a better mutual future.

While many site owners may be correctly listed on spam block lists, many site owners and even more importantly dedicated server owners invest time, efforts and money to create value services and communicate in a highly legitimate way with its customers or site visitors.

If however you are hosted on a regular virtual host, then your server is shared with up to many hundred other site owners, all on the same IP as you are. If one single of the other sites on your server IP abuses his site for spam or spam considered mass-mail and mail campaigns, then you and all other hundreds of site owners on the same server may all together become victim of one single abuser.

While you can report to your host - there are hosts who care little about abuse. In past 2 years I have seen repeatedly particular hosts, such as The Planet and its sister companies, 1and1 and its European 1und1 / Schlund owned servers being the origin of spam or worst hacker activities as well as copyright infringements by hosted sites. In some of the reported cases nothing at all happened - meaning that that host cares nothing at all about illegal activities.

A serious minded host however may ban, disable or delete accounts of abusers with or without prior warning. In many cases however a site is abused by spammers / hackers without the direct knowledge of the site owner. Lack of IT knowledge, lack of IT education, lack of webmaster skills often lead to people having a site with totally open or unsecured scripts, forums, galleries or script hosting services. Thus opening a backdoor for hackers in need for a mail server to send out thousands or millions of spam email thru the service of another serever NOT listed in any spam block lists published in http://www.dnsbl.info/advanced.asp and similar spam list verification servers.

Check to see if your IP is listed in any mail blacklists

Specialized services allow you to check if your server IP is listed on any DNS block lists.

The only secure way to stay clean with your own mail server is to own your dedicated server and only have your own site hosted on that server. Another risk would be allowing other people having eMail accounts on your server using @yoursite.com as their eMail address. Anyone using your site name as eMail address who is sending out private or business mail in violation with strict spam laws will automatically get your entire server listed on spam blacklists. Hence if ever you allow anyone the use of your eMail services or an eMail address @yoursite, then you have to make sure that person is 100% reliable. Never assume that your own children are reliable! A single abuse may cause your entire online family business being compromised and out of business within hours.

NOT listed on any DNSBL block lists - what now ?

What to do is a remote mail server refuses to communicate with your mail server even if you are clean of any listing? There is little you can do except wasting your time and $. If you are clean of any spam listing, then it is the refusing remote mail server such as these past weeks the AT&T owned/operated eMail services that have created a wrong system configuration or that mailserver admin may have blocked entire IP blocks in the occurrence of individual spam from single IPs. Services like AT&T have online forms to request removal from their DNSBL. Such procedure is a waste of your resources and may or NOT work at all. In the case of AT&T, it appears than many other site owners / server owners have similar problems in recent weeks and when contacting AT&T for blacklist removal, they are being told that they are on NO blacklist. Which of course may be correct in most cases. A verification of my own server shows clearly that I am on NO DNSBL block list at all, yet I am blocked by AT&T operated mail servers. Hence the same may apply to many other victims of mail server misconfiguration by ISP mail services.

In recent weeks ATT owned mail servers appear to block a whole bunch of IP addresses for absolutely NO qualified reason at all sending mail server errors and refusing to accept legitimate email from sending mail servers who never have been on any blacklist. For that reason - please use any qualified professional eMail address Other than the ones listed and updated as needed in my contact form.

Avoid sending eMail with sender-eMail any @bellsouth.net, @sbcglobal.net, OR any AT&T mail server / eMail address

These eMail senders will get NO reply and NO response from me of any kind for the simple reason as the AT&T owned / operated mail server and ISP services does NOT accept regular mail from regular web sites such as the Cyberspace Ashram. This is a new issue other reputable senders have as well with AT&T. I have NO intention NOR funds to deal with the extra administration and costs / waste of time incurred by those mail servers!

Avoid AOL eMail addresses to contact ME !!

For more than a decade, AOL email services have been but an annoyance and a huge mess. Therefore AOL senders may expect to receive NO reply - instead change your eMail provider to a serious and reliable professional service, to your own web site for example and make sure your senders address is absolutely free from any SPAM blacklist !!!

If you have placed an order for the DVD - then the DVD most likely has been shipped and will arrive at your place within 3-5 weeks from paypal payment date. If you have placed an order for the file god.zip - that would require an eMail from me to you with download information - which for a.m. listed reason is impossible. You those usually do receive receive a full paypal refund if payment made by paypal and are kindly requested NOT to replace ANY order as all blacklisted a.m. sender-mail servers fail to communicate. Such third party created annoyances create an additional waste of time and money as well and we both - you and me - will do everything necessary to avoid such communication services at any cost.

If you are a victim / user of any of above blacklisted mail services - the ONLY method to get in contact by eMail or to place orders or communicate is to use your own, selfmanaged ( by you ) dedicated server properly configured BY YOU and never used for any spam yourself or by any of your co-users. Alternatively you may communicate using other professional services such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail - however at your own risk.
