What other people do for us never counts. Only what we do for others counts for our way home to God. Hence to return home we need to love more and work more lovingly

Of course it may help us if other people love us, that's why we all promote love and solutions of love / teachings of love. But the key factor to assure our way home is what we do for others ourselves. We all have to earn our way home. We have actively earn dour way down here on earth by action of selfishness, greed, stinginess, retaliation, violence, etc. We also can do the reverse path home to God by active efforts of love, reconciliation, forgiveness, generosity, etc. To earn by means of love, love by definition means to work. Love mostly is what we work in favor of others from the bottom of our heart. Work free of profit thinking - work just to make happy, to create wellbeing, to create or improve joy of life in others, to improve or create happiness among mankind or entire creation.

The gifts we get from others are for out personal pleasure. What we give to others, what we do for others however is the only true reflection of our real love for all.
