If ever you find a piece of true jungle in Cambodia, then enjoy it. Take your time to observe and enjoy jungle vegetation and jungle life. Plentiful of colorful butterflies often are found near water. Jungle is dense and high - much higher than my 16mm wideangle lense can capture. Dense lush vegetation of huge variety grows so dense that passing thru jungle is virtually impossible unless you find a man made small path created by local population crossing the jungle or living inside the jungle.

From the roof top of a temple high up in the mountains of Cambodia, a view onto the roof of Cambodian jungle. Dense huge trees form a dense ceiling of the jungle. Inside the jungle very dark light conditions - too dark for photography unless a small leak in the natural roof has an opening for the strong bright tropical sunlight.

Jungle giants compaired to human size

Small appears a human body next to a jungle tree, yet this is but a small tree!

Above tree was but a small one among all the huge jungle trees seen in Cambodian jungle. Some of the largest ones are in the range of approximately 3 meters diameter.

On the way back to Siem Reap, again pictures of forgotten trees, too small for loggers to be profitable.

Large but far too small to be profitable - forgotten trees in an otherwise almost deserted plain outside the jungle. These 2 large trees have been too small for loggers to cut down. These 2 trees those have been among the smallest of jungle once here in this desert like plain near Siem Reap.
