A different approach to Valentine's day, Mother's Day and similar festive days of the season.

Focus on a loving family day in nature or with best friends instead of traditional Valentine's Day

For quiet some time - up to many decades - hundreds of Millions focus on spending money, makings gifts, abusing credit cards to impress loved ones on Valentine's day or other days like anniversary, birthday, fathers day, etc. How can you impress a loved one with a Rolex watch purchased by credit card or an expensive dinner in a gourmet restaurant paid by credit card? If money is all you have to offer ... money also is available to your loved ones in abundance as a result of honest hard work. Hence no one needs you to get money gifts or material gifts.

Instead of maintaining wrong traditions of money oriented love days, try a different concept for Valentine's Day and all similar days like Mother's Day, Father's Day, Birthday, Anniversary, etc. Spend some quality time in God's beautiful nature. Take your children along if you have. Then enjoy a happy family day all together. No shopping, no spending, just loving and sharing joy, happiness and love with each other.

Sharing some quality time with a loved one may include such love activities like helping poorest ones. Bringing flowers and self-cooked food or delicious healthy cakes to needy ones. Sometimes a poorest one may need something different from money .. just your love. That reminds me almost ten years back of an older woman, may be in her 50ies sitting on the street. No real beggar but begging in her heart only. I.e. without hand stretched out - just a heart crying for help. When I passed her - I grabbed into my pocket and gave her an amount. Then continued ... just to realize that her heart still was crying for ... love. I went back and gave her a flower from those flowers I carried to share with "strangers" in the street that day. That flower made the difference. Her heart smiled. She needed love rather than money. If people receive love, then often they also regain motivation to work or find a motive to work. Life without love received offers no incentives to work or to be lived at all. Only a life flooded with love is worthy to be lived.

If you have true values in common with your lover, then your lover may be more happy sharing some of a.m. quality time with you rather than another dinner for 2 or tech gadgets or jewelry or flowers. Flowers grow in nature by the millions to enjoy for free. Good food is much better when prepared with love at home or amidst friends rather than in an expensive restaurant. True love has no limits, true love is free from money or material goods of any kind. True love however does require true values inside a lovers heart and mind.
