Negligence in spiritual life: How superficial spirituality may lead to accidents and new karma as a result of spiritual negligence

Among Christianity and other spiritual groups, specially new age groups, it is quiet common to burden responsibility in daily life and spiritual life to God. About 2 decades ago a young man, physics student in Germany told me once how often he drives under influence of alcohol. Then he showed me a medal from Christophorus (Saint Christopher) who often is used as a protector or guardian. That medal was used as a protector when driving under influence. That young man denied to carry full responsibility for his own life. Instead the young man preferred to enjoy a superficial fun oriented life and burdened responsibility for his own wellbeing to the Saint Christopher. Gross negligence of this kind is common among many spiritual disciples and widespread among Christianity. Burdening the duty of protection to either a Saint, Guru, Jesus or directly to God.

That appears quiet similar to the superficial negligent behavior of rich people's kids who depend on daddy bailing them out of any self created emergency by the power of money or by abuse of influence some rich ones have.

In spiritual life there is no place for gross negligence of any kind. God gave freedom to all. If you ever realized what true freedom means for you, then you know that such a treasure is beyond any monetary value of any kind. No gold can buy freedom. God given freedom is a gift of love. That gift of love however has a price: Your love in return. Love means caring, observing, helping, being awake, paying attention. Your love toward all, your attention for the need of all, your loving care toward anyone in need of your helping loving care. Walking, driving or flying brainless while day dreaming is a violation of proper spiritual use of God given freedom. Your freedom never should be at the expense of others but for the benefit of others. Your freedom never should be a burden for others but an asset for others.

In spiritual life is no place for drug addicts or alcoholics. neither drug addicts (junkies) or alcoholics are of any use in emergency situation. Contrary - drug addicts and alcoholics are the cause of countless accidents, even fatal accidents.

The moral and ethical duty of every spiritual person is the opposite of negligence: A permanent state of full awareness of the surrounding. To permanently have all senses open, awake and ready to act where help is needed. That permanent awareness and conscious readiness to help requires you to permanently observe, listen, feel, with open heart and awakened intuition. To be fully aware of all surrounding also makes you aware of any existing danger. Traffic, road condition, road damage, ice or any other potential danger.

Negligence occurs when you drift away with your mind at a point different from your present location. Day dreaming, being mentally and/or spiritually absent, having unfinished business, etc.

To be free and to enjoy God given freedom requires a state of permanent awakening of all senses in all dimensions and physical directions to keep you safe as well as all your surrounding.

It never is and never was God's duty to protect you while day dreaming or mentally absent. Nor is it the duty of any saint or Guru to protect you from any results of your spiritual negligence of performing your own duties and homework. As a free child of God you are expected to grow up and be an adult grown up mature being. Young kids of new age era want to enjoy all the benefits of adults without performing all the work and duties of adults .... To enjoy before earning, to have holidays before working days, to be protected before having solved own karma and protected others first.

God will protect you, if you permanently devote all your life to God, if you permanently are available to do the most loving and spiritually best for God on earth and beyond. When you have completely surrendered your entire life on earth to God, then God also may help you in all your smaller problems and protect you all the way. Or if needed God may make you aware of your very personal duties all the way to be cared by you alone.

Spiritual negligence is the result of many people, specially Christians, to fully depend on Jesus, to wait for Jesus to do ALL their own homework, to do all their own loving, to do all their forgiving and reconciliation on behalf of lazy ones among Christianity.

It is each and every ones own duty to forgive all, to reconcile with all, to share all with all, to love all, to help all when ever help is needed. Then and only then can you enjoy all the ocean and heaven of love to be poured upon you and God's bliss and love uplifting you. Never expect all those gifts of love to be poured upon you for watching TV, playing computer or hanging around making easy jobs and leaving all the dirty work for others.

Freedom has 2 sides. The shiny pleasant side you and all others love to enjoy and the responsible mature side all have to prove beyond any doubt for millions of years and beyond into all eternity before true eternal freedom is achieved and enjoyed.

The freedom to travel to places also includes the freedom to help at such places and to serve God at such places. Thus to be open for all! Open for duties and fun alike. See the fairy tale Mother Holle.

When you practice dangerous recreation or sport activities or travel to dangerous places, then it is your own duty to increase your awareness of all potential dangers and pay full attention to all safety precautions to stay safe and healthy. Never expect God or anyone else to do your duties on your behalf. Always stay within your own limits - that strict and absolute rule includes to stay or move within worlds and activities you completely master to a highest possible degree of perfection with the absolute highest safety standard possible for all beings involved. Highest safety standard possible always is a firm 100% safety for all! Anything less than 100% safety for all creation is gross negligence in life and thus a violation of your spiritual duties.
