today i visited Baguio City - Bruno's *Swiss Deli* in session road ...
Bruno - always busy finding new delicious specialties to spoil his customers - has a new brand of finest swiss chocolate - "Swiss delice" is the brand name. I never heard of it - but tasted it, delicious - absolutely one of the finest Swiss chocolates in the world - hence it can be but ONE out of two real brands
either Lindt or usually never available out of Switzerland - Chocolate Frey form Migros.
Bruno's Swiss deli in baguio now has several kind of "Swiss delice" Swiss chocolate, champagne chocolate, fine milk chocolate, dark bitter chocolate, white chocolate and other chocolates as well.
it was so delicious - I devoured one chocolate within minutes - then decided to buy a few to bring to a few employees here ...
back here i researched the matter of true brand behind "Swiss delice" Swiss chocolate as such outstanding quality never can be copied - it is a heritage that never can be reproduced by competition only reproduced by its creators.
hence i searched the Swiss delice web site to find out more about the true origin of such finest Swiss chocolate available here in the Philippines - or at least in Baguio city - now.
surprise - surprise
My taste memories where right - Swiss delice from Suhr Switzerland is a Migros brand - the Swiss chocolate sold under the name Swiss delice is made by Chocolate Frey - and of course i know directly that factory from a personal visit to the factory - somewhen during my apprenticeship at Sprecher & Schuh - Aarau between 1967 and 1971 we went once to visit Chocolate Frey factory as part of an excursion with the professional school - the factory is just a few kilometers away from my apprenticeship employer's location ( Aarau / Suhr / Oberentfelden ).
the most amazing part of this surprise with delicious Swiss chocolate at very affordable price ( it sold at 60 to 80 PHP per 100 gr ) was the fact that the chocolate was in 100% perfect condition - fresh and tasty like in Switzerland. Normally in tropical countries most fine Swiss chocolate is spoiled by wrong storage in high ambient temperature within days. Swiss chocolate is very delicate to transport and store - its made to be delightfully enjoyed and eaten rather than to be stored.
it is the very first time in decades of international travel that i found a Swiss chocolate of such perfect quality in a tropical country.
I guess Bruno knows how to catch and attract customers and how to keep them back again and again ... with quality and true delicious food.
i surely have been back to Baguio city for such a piece of finest Swiss chocolate - i would walk easily 10 km ! at least every once in a while.
why ?
there is nothing that ever can match such delicious taste, freshness and true absolute quality as the 2 favored brands of finest swiss chocolate - *Lindt* and *Chocolate Frey* - alias *Swiss delice*
