Your computer-data at risk once again for Microsoft windows and Internet Explorer ( IE ) users

How much damage needs to occur until the world becomes smart and finally moves on to the far more secure and transparent Open Source browser Firefox ?

The recent long time occurrance of Trojan distribution by Yahoo or more precisely by the Yahoo-owned Right Media that affects once again only windows operating system with IE shows again how easy it is to intrude your WIN/IE package. Do you have all service packs form MS installed ?? I never have for the simple reason that when starting a WIN machine - the machine starts to initiation online connections and download without informing me of exact details NOR asking me if I agree or to give me a free conscious choice of what I agree to be downloaded and installed.

There might be a reason why smart people use Google for search ... may be we all should learn from smart people and join the safe Google search community together with a fine Firefox browser!

Running WIN/Vista almost never happens to me and if then I normally make sure my WIN XP has no access to the Internet for above reasons.

All common office work as well as the entire Cyberspace Ashram maintenance, server and creation work is done uniquely on openSuSE Linux. NO IE / NO WIN XP / Vista means NO problems, means happy working with full focus on productivity and quality.

While I have been distributing a customized Netscape browser many years ago thru the once very refined and easy to use CCK - repeated attempts to obtain a consumer friendly Firefox CCK have failed with the last attempt made just a few months ago. I am sure if Firefox is more readily offered by ISP and web sites for instant download - already fully customized for full online surfing activities, including RSS readers, toolbars and some of the other key accessories / plugins an average user most likely may need to fully enjoy is Internet surfing experience, then the people would be even more willing to use Firefox as a safe alternative to the outdated proprietary code IE.

When you offer your desktop / laptop with one door open to the world - then there is no more space for any proprietary code on a machine. Whatever connects you with the world NEEDS to be transparent to you and all global experts as well as directly controllable by you and ONLY by you.

Opt for Open Source tools when ever you have a choice. Freedom is yours to take - make use of your freedom rather than surrendering your freedom to corporate CEO you never met in your life. Use trustworthy tools and SW from people created for people.

To strengthen global peace and security may require some active input, contribution and investment of time, resources ane money - such as IBM joining Sun Microsystems efforts to share its own code with the OpenSource Office suite from OpenOffice.org. When major vendors/competitors can raise above their own ego and competition for a better mutual future, then each and every individual should be able as well to share all values with all world.

How much of your most valued work, creations and inventions do YOU share with all world ?? Look at your web site, look at your working hours, look at your potential inventory - and make an inventory of what you have shared in the past months of this year and what you could share more these coming days and years as of today ... soon is Christmas time - this year a time to give rather than to receive. To be on the recipients side is what most of us have been long enough, now its time to prove that we also can share by giving to others, to all world. It's Christmas (preparation) time.
