Swiss Chalet Angeles case of employees exploitation proceeds again to Department of Labor

Until this day - after nearly 2 months - no honest and clean legal solution has been achieved after repeated hearings at the DOL San Fernando Papanga.

The ongoing case of employee exploitation by Swiss Chalet thru extended, long lasting underpay of apparently all approx 36 hotel employees still in process by Department of Labor. Today I have been asked again for assistance by the sacked employees and the next hearing is scheduled to be in march - followed by another hearing at top level DOL.

Meanwhile the remaining employees of Swiss Chalet seem still to receive the very same illegal salary as before. Hence no change in attitude by the owner Hans Hoffmann.

If the case remains without FULLEST satisfaction for the sacked employees as well as for all remaining employees, then the recommended procedure will be a call for the Office of the Ombudsman the "Protector of the People" to take charge of the protection of the underpayed employees at Swiss Chalet. Since the employees as well as the sacked employees have neither financial means to pay for all travel expenses and proceedings needed - a most efficient solution is required ASAP. The next hearing is expected to be the last in this case.

It is quiet apparent that eventhough the DOL's purpose is to protect people from such exploitation and abuse by employees, this very DOL fails to fulfill its purpose within a reasonable time. Normal employees of such ridiculous underpay lack the financial means to fulfill such months long procedures involving repeated travels to provincial cities. Hence in many or most such or similar cases the cases may be dismissed for the simple reason of lack of money by the exploited ones. A most serious situation that never should occur and requires assistance from third parties. Most average employees lack legal education - who blames. In a world where the prime focus is to survive and work, all hope for fair and human treatment as well as for protection by the law ....

May God protect the poor and abused ones in this and all other cases all around the world. May the strong and truly loving ones become advocates of all poor and helpless ones to regain freedom, honest treatment and legal advice.
