One more day of high water - Aug 9 was full moon - now on Aug 10 the additional day of high water with high waves caused even more damage to the beach area than all days before. The first coconut palms victim to the water. Part of the beach walk washed away at several locations south of station 3. NO more access to southern-most resorts by supply vehicles.

Above my neighbor cottage .... today without stairs up
see earlier news on Boracay's beach damage during recent high water days

Above - in many sectors the ocean is closing in and the road getting narrower

Above my preferred outdoor breakfast place - once a large are with many tables on the beautiful beach - now the ocean eating up most of the beach restaurant area

Above photo: people try to rescue a younger coconut palm tree with ropes

Dozens of palms have the roots widely exposed by wave action - just a matter of time or a stronger wind to make the palms fall - these days we have NO storm, just regular moderate monsoon winds of Bft 4 to max 5

Above: The ocean rather calm - just moderate seas and all wind-oriented water sports are still possible.
