The 2 young men I met reminded me of my own parents and of myself in my youngest years. Starting to work for my parents's business at age 4 and doing some quiet similar work later as of age 10 after school, on weekends and during school vacation.
If in young years you see the work and values lying around on the streets - then you never get jobless. If in young years you learn to do even the most dirty work - then you always find jobs and business opportunities all over the world. IN modern world we have millions of men and women who prefer clean indoor jobs, who prefer to never get dirty at all. People who feel too good to do dirty or dangerous work and who hire others to do any kind of dirty work in their lives.
Hence the competition for all the dirty or dangerous jobs and work is many times smaller or none at all. However someone has to do such kind of work. Specially recycling needs to be practiced for any and all recyclable materials we have on our planet. Valuable resources are limited - such as the total quantity of available oil, metals and other raw materials needed to produce what we use in daily life.
If we have jobless people in most countries on this globe, then often because the jobless ones are too educated and hence feel too good to do such dirty jobs. They prefer to be jobless and a useless burden for society rather than doing any kind of jobs.
Reality of looks different - neglect business due to restrictive ownership of business. Short term lease contracts are little inviting to invest in the future and improve as necessary to remain competitive in business.

The 2 young men above collect whatever is recyclable from public trash bins in the streets of Angeles City. I have personally observed many others doing the same in other Philippine cities. Some have a large and heavy load by the end of the day and many may earn more money per day than the many employees working for regular business at a daily rate of 100 to 250 PHP per day, that is some 2-5 US$.
Some of the recyclable raw material can bring almost half a dollar per kg. This one example is but one out of many potential business opportunities life can offer alternatively to being jobless or being beggar in the streets. I have never seen smiling and happy beggars in country, even in the country of smiling people - The Philippine islands. But these 2 young men neither complained, nor asked for any money. Those who never ask always get most from God - at the right time. We may remember the fairy tale "Mother Holle" - those who fulfill all their duties and work what ever in life, always shall be rewarded by the end. This reward for an often hard and dirty working life shall come from God. God shall be the one to pour his bliss and love upon us when we finished all our lessons of life.
These 2 young working children certainly are among the most blessed and most favored ones in life on earth. The succeed to achieve happiness early in their lives and certainly all their lives shall be blessed with ever increasing job or work opportunities. Those who start all the way at the bottom of the career ladder are the ones climbing up highest. Those who find happiness in simple but hard and dirty work of daily duty toward God, creation and all society shall always find means to remain happy and successful all their life until returned home to God.
Happy children are those who have learned early in life to be free, to see work to be done and to accomplish their jobs. The earlier you start to have your own work, the earlier you are ready to live all on your own. Those finding and doing such work grow up being their own boss and hence they know how to accept responsibility for all their lives and how to work toward a goal in life to have a happy life.
These two young men are suppliers of the very same valuable resources as some of the worlds largest oil companies, i.e. plastic - except that their own investment is much smaller and that they are their very own boss - most likely all life long.
Learn from such examples and grow strong in early years. Myself having ended high school at age 16 - at no time ever did I miss more school education - all additional education I needed I found easily in vocational schools, books or magazines. At no time in my life did I ever regret having started to work early in my life instead of striving for graduation or college / university education and degrees. I enjoy a working life of an adventurer - a life that finally ended with God-union - oneness with God - before age 50. When I see such young happy entrepreneurs, I know they are on their very best way home to God as well - look at their smile and compare it with young children or adults around you, in the streets or at work. See, compare and then you may accept that sometimes a dirty work is far less dirty than it looks. That a hard work may lead to greater happiness than office work in aircon rooms.
God bless
