may be the other post you have will give you the answer to your travel question. Manila is about one of the few places I know quiet nothing about - its too crowded and far too polluted for me to feel at ease. Myself I love to stay in provincial or island regions of the Philippines.

But many decades ago I also loved to stay in big cities of the world - to catch up with what i thought to have missed in life while growing up on a remote mountain farm in Switzerland

May be that's the way so many million Filipinas feel who come from far remote islands to spend years in Metro Manila
