After traveling trough many countries in Asia - for fun, for business or self employed / freelance, i have realized that Asia has many jewels to offer to insiders - but quiet often all the valuable resources are harder to find than in Europe or some other places i lived or worked.
Precision or quality is available throughout Asia - but mixed up with hundred or thousands of resources filled with fakes or questionable quality. Often i travel hundreds of kms just to find such simple things like a particular firmware for a common high end Nokia cell phone or such common accessories like MINI-CD i need for my work.
Hotels and resorts, restaurants and other places are in abundance - but where are the good, cosy places with that special flair and exquisite service at regular rates ??
You certainly have realized n your life that quality and reliability seldom is directly proportional to the price of services or products. Quality in craftsmanship and services are the result of a loving attitude toward all. Hence you may often find the very best food or friendliest atmosphere of beach resorts among very simple places or country side. Some of the finest high tech service and updates for Nokia high end cellphones for example i found in 2 tiny small stores - one in Baguio city - Philippines and another one in Manila. Some fine food or accommodation i found in remote places among family businesses ...
Hence - with all the searching, often cost and time intense, i thought its about time to start another forum just to share all the pleasant experiences i had - and i hope that many of you do the very same - sharing your pleasant experiences and encounters traveling trough Asia, South East Asia, Hong Kong or other places.
Please feel free to recommend all the fine or interesting places you would like to share with others - just for love for others and as a tiny gratitude toward all those people who served you and contributed to your pleasant and fun journeys or work - even if you never get any reward or "kick-back" from any of those business or places or persons you endorse in your publications !!! The happiness you create among all the potential users as well as the worth of mouth business you may direct toward all those having been of value to you will somehow bounce back on you in a non-financial / spiritual or divine loving way or in your very own business or work when your customers recommend you to their friends or foreigners.
By sharing all the pleasant encounters, addresses and resources as well as helping others to do what you do or did in a more efficient way helps all to save money, time and logistical resources and hence contributes to more efficiency in resource management and improves overall quality of life for all.
Avoid commenting on negative experiences - fully focus on those extraordinary services and resources you experienced ... this will direct all potential seekers, customers or travelers away from painful destinations directly toward pleasant destinations.
And last but never least - Asia has become home away from home for many foreigners from Europe., USA, Australia and other fine places. People retire from their jobs in their native countries and feel attracted to Asian destinations. The reasons are quiet obvious: Higher quality of life - i mean true quality of life - consisting of social gathering, being together with loving and smiling friendly people who love to love, who love to be with you, welcome you in their hearts, in a sunny natural environment supportive of your health. Excellent natural resources of organic food, tropical fruits and vegetables, fresh sea food and exotic dishes and many more pleasant gifts of these cultures are causing the attraction for foreigners to be here.
The potential of love and happy life is far greater than in most "first world countries" i ever have visited. Hence myself i live mostly in the Philippines - after visiting and working in some 40 countries on 4 continents, i found the Philippines to be my choice - from social point of view as much as for my work as a web publisher / author. Hence i express my loyalty to all those many thousands who made my work and help to all mankind possible - i offer any support to the local industry of small family businesses and all the resources in enjoy day after day - by publishing for free all the truly valuable resources i enjoyed. Another field of help needed:
Millions of Asians are working abroad, in Arab or European countries or Overseas in USA. A plea to all those Asian who have found their way into other countries, who have found work, jobs or business opportunities or all those having such opportunities at present - please share your experiences and how you succeeded in finding out of Asia jobs. Many Philippino nationals are willing to work and searching for jobs and may need some truly honest and sincere information and help from those of their own country who succeeded. Many have a dream to travel and work for a few years only and then return home - such as many Europeans or Americans travel and work in Asia for a while and then return home again. People are made to travel to foreign cultures - broaden their horizons, gain additional travel and professional experiences and expertise and then return home to share it with their fellow citizens and family members at home for the benefit of their own national development in agriculture, craftsmanship or industrial job opportunities.
People need help from people - from individuals - help from heart to heart - help from soul to soul - bypassing organizations, institutions and agencies - human help with love from a human heart.
Another experience contributing to the creation of this forum are my previous visits to Hong Kong. Some for business reasons others just for personal reason. Shopping a laptop in Hong Kong was a night mare for me - spoiled by Central European high quality and organization and after all advertisements i heard from Hong Kong, i expected easy and fast shopping to satisfy the needs for my work. Arrived at my hotel - Shamrock hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong - i searched and searched, phone books, yellow pages, of course the web even before my travel to Hong Kong - and all i got is miles of walking and searching and the final result was that i had to buy a substitute to my original first choice high end laptop and of course that alternate choice never was satisfying ...
Finding true quality products and services in Hong Kong appears nearly impossible for outsiders - hence may be someone wants to share some details on where to find what. A forum about Hong Kong i visited once many months ago was nearly empty even months after it started. Google gives little result and the many local search engines have been little help.
Did you know that many high end / high tech products are actually made in one of the surrounding South East Asian countries such as Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand or Korea. If you are looking for direct resources of whatever you need - may be you have a look at the actual original source. Here in the Philippines for example we have many technical products at substantially lower prices than in Hong Kong !!! Nokia cellphones are but one such example. Dresses, tissue, accessories and many other products are locally manufactured in countries with smiling faces - such as in the Philippines.
