From Baguio to Sagada

After Sagada toward Baguio, we first have a short distance of mountains similar to Sagada neighborhood. When entering Benguet province, all nature is getting greener and more fertile. Benguet is the source of all "Baguio vegetables". Delicious fresh salads and a large variety of mountain fruits and vegetables are growing all year long. Terrace agriculture and a fertile soil are a blessing to the mountain farmers. Hard work is the source of all the rich harvest and popularity of vegetables from Benguet province. "Baguio vegetables" are the main source for most of Philippines, La Union, Angeles city, Manila, but also remote islands such as Mindoro and Boracay import vegetables from this mountain province in the Cordillera mountains - northern Luzon, Philippines.

Most of the mountains along the road from Baguio to Sagada is at an altitude up to 2000+ meters above sea level. The highest mountains are in the range of 2500-2800+ meters above sea level. The road often is just a few hundred meters below mountain peaks. A beautiful mountain view - often in the clouds - is the reward for a trip by car, bus or taxi along the mountain scenery between Sadada to Baguio.
