Mountain climbing skills are needed to climb this terraces

Farmers here have no time for such toys, they have to carry up and down all the seedlings, harvest and tools ....

But imagine the work to create this huge and steepest structure of rice terraces thousands of years ago. Millions of stones needed to be carried into place one by one. All walls made to perfection to last thousands of years. Irrigation system conducting water from top of the mountain thru each of the terraces in a steady flow and with the smallest loss of water to assure that even the very last terrace is equally flooded by clean fresh mountain water as the very top terrace.

This terrace system reminds of the Egyptian pyramids, except that these rice terraces still serve
their peaceful and most useful purpose in full after many thousands of years after construction!!!
