Men at work in the rice fields of Banaue

In lowland rice fields such work is done by men using water buffaloes - here in the steep slopes of the mountains no one else but humans still can walk, hence all such hardest work is done by strong men using bar hands and simple tools to prepare the fields, to plow and to till soil until ready for the women to take over and plant the young rice plants.
