The result of reforestation is beauty and abundance in nature while illegal logging results in weak nature and ill nature
While illegal logging destroys nature and changes our global climate - here in Banaue we see "legal" reforestation. Thousands of years ago people started to reforest mountains to fully cover the once sparse trees across the valley until a green lush paradise resulted.
Lush nature attracts abundance of rain - abundant rain results in even more lush growth until all nature looks and grows like a most fertile tropical rainforest. Except that here in this beautiful area among all the trees we find abundance of fruit bearing trees to improve the food resources of this beautiful region and thus to improve the quality of life for all here and beyond.
Hence instead of short sighted illegal logging we should move to legal reforestation - across the entire planet. Mixed culture, let nature grow but help nature to start to grow. Once nature is strong like here - nature takes care of itself as long as you stay away from controlling or influencing nature for financial benefits. Nature is self controlling. A strong and healthy nature needs neither fertilizer, nor pesticides, nor herbicides nor any kind of other chemicals.
