Rice farming is a major agriculture industry in the Philippines
No food without rice - breakfast, luch or diner, rice always is part of every meal. Vegetables are unimportant in most households. Fruits are typically unaffordable by most - even local fruits. Hence the cheapest main food source always is rice.
Rice farming however is one of the hardest areas in farming. All work is done by hands. Very littlle can be done with the help of Carabao - water buffalo. Farming in general is already very work intense - rice farming even more.
