Also keep in mind that on an island you have no neighbor to talk to, no one to kiss or hug, no one to love - living on an island means you are all alone with yourself - for most a horror idea to be left alone with our won ego and no one else to blame for our misery than ourself ...
Island life - lonely life
Unless you have a bunch of beloved ones and they have a bunch of beloved ones - island life can be lonely life
Date/Time: Thu 22 Feb 2007 04:00:18 PM PHT
Mankind is made to socialize - mankind is made to give, to share and to accept love - hence we need space for our friends and our friends need to understand that sometimes amidst a city we still need a little peace of mind and peace in life for our own happiness with our lover.
Unless you are one with God you most likely may get sick of loneliness if on a small island like the hundred islands in the Philippines. Better would be a life in one of the thousands of larger Philippine islands with dozens or more villages - populated by smiling and loving people.

Palawan - island of white beaches
White beaches all over - and no one there
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:52:50 PM PHT
While by popularity Boracay still is the most popular - queen of all Philippine islands - Palawan and thousands of other islands - by beauty alone - are much nicer than Boracay. But these true treasure-islands have neither airport nearby nor tourist infrastructure.
On Palawan - El Nido for example we only had some 12 hrs of electricity each day ... plenty for me. what exactly do I need electricity for ? I eat fruits and delicious vegetables but never electricity. No one here misses power.

Green hills - blue water - white beaches
Rocky coast around all beaches give you clearest blue waters
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:54:39 PM PHT
The only reason why the water around Palawan is of such beauty and clarity is the depth of surrounding ocean as well as the fact that most cost line is rocky coast, hence no silt or particles to stir up by waves.

Island of Palawan
Palawan is known for many reasons - successful kidnaping 2001, beautiful beaches and blue water and natural gas off the coast of El Nido
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:52:23 PM PHT
The kidnaping period might be over - may be - may be not who knows - the natural gas resource offshore Palawan island - the Camago well and Malampaya gas-field - however might last for another dozen or more years.
The Camago-Malampaya deposit which is estimated to support the operation of 3,000 MW gas-fired power plants for over 20 years with its 2.5-3.2 Tcf maximum recoverable reserves.
Social peace depends on how we share our resources - since most of the resources and revenues from that natural gas off palawan's north-west coast off El Nido goes into pockets other than general people - social tension occurs now and then and eventually explodes in a civil war like the one still going on in some parts of the Philippines.
Tension always is created - tension never can be suppressed by armed forces - tension needs to be dissolved in love - that only can be done by action of love - hence by really sharing ALL with ALL.

Green islands
The mountainous islands store enough water during dry season to maintain a green healthy vegetation
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:53:23 PM PHT
Without mountains - no water storage during dry season. Flat islands like Maledives for example have no water at all - only salty ground water and rain water stored in large metal containers.
The mountains here act like a water reservoir.

Beautiful island - beautiful beaches all around the island of Palawan
The beauty of such islands only can be guessed or experienced but never described
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:56:10 PM PHT
Look at the low population density - no village in sight, no groups of houses - just here and there an fully integrated native hut - and lots of virgin beaches and fertile dense but low jungle.

Tiny rocky islet
Ideal for snorkeling or SCUBA diving
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:55:18 PM PHT
Around such offshore islets or smallest islands fishes have no shyness because they often never met a human and treat you as another guest in the ocean - with curiosity and love.

Rocky islands offshore protect the coast
Islands offshore break large waves and thus protect shoreline from erosion by waves
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:55:22 PM PHT
Islands also break wind and reduce wind velocity arriving at the coast - hence islands and reefs protect coastal regions from storm and waves.
Blue waters
All around northern part of Palawan the waters are of beautiful clear deep blue
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:56:00 PM PHT
Sapphire blue water is the result of deep water - hence also the habitat of large fish and clear water.
The rocky coast in exchange offers habitat for many species of seafood that prefers shelter under rocks - such as lobster, crabs, squid or octopus and a variety of fish.
Agriculture and mariculture side by side
In the background we see rice fields - in foreground ocean for fishery
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:56:32 PM PHT
Local habitants here are farmers - farmers of the island and farmers of the ocean. Both are fertile and provide abundance of work and food.
A treasure beyond money
Beaches and nature, ocean and beauty are treasures no money can buy
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:57:03 PM PHT
Like all things in life - the most valuable always are given to those who earned them - as a gift of love in return for honesty and hard work.
How great the value of nature will be noticed only when all nature destroyed and life turns into misery.
Village on the beach
A tiny small village fully integrated into nature
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:56:03 PM PHT
A most beautiful white beach with just a few dozen or so small huts on beach front for a life integrated into nature to maintain nature's balance. On Palawan are plentiful of most beautiful white beaches and abundance of clean nature for a life in harmony with God. Hence just the opposite of what we encounter on Boracay island these years.

Large shelter-giving bays
Well protected for fishery, fisher boats and a peaceful life on the beach
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:54:44 PM PHT
Living beach front can mean exposed to the elements. Here we are protected by hills in the back and large lagoons and bays to give shelter to all. The ocean usually is flat like seen on the photo. The many islands offshore keep the waves from reaching shore of main island Palawan in this region of the island near El Nido.
What a beautiful place for a village
Life is outside the house
Date/Time: Sun 20 May 2007 12:55:33 PM PHT
Nature is too beautiful to spend hours in the house. Huts are used to sleep - nature is used to live, to enjoy life, to have fun or work in - offices and cities are for prisoners of weakness and prisoners of money only.
Beautiful small white beach
If the large beaches shown are too "crowded" for you - here an alternate choice
