From smallest size below 1 meter the desert rose will continuously blossom all year round. Desert roses love it really dry and desert like. Hence you have to keep the desert rose out of parts of gardens that might get wet or flooded repeatedly during rainy season.
Desert rose also loves air free of salt - hence stay off the beach or ocean proximity at least some 50+ meters. Salty air from a wet ocean breeze may hurt or kill your desert rose!
A little water now and then but no daily wet soil at all - just remember desert rose loves desert like conditions - almost desert like. Because in the Philippines we have abundance of beautiful desert roses in semi-dry gardens or pots but never in wet flooded gardens.
