Mt Mayon volcano - Mayon volcano basic information and location

Mayon, one of the country's 22 active volcanos in the Philippine islands and is one of the most active volcano in the Philippines. Since 1616 until todate, Mayon has erupted 48 times including last year's - 14 July 2006 - eruption. The beautifully symmetrical Mayon volcano rises to some 2460 meters. Height varies in different sources - of course - each volcanic activity changes the height somewhat.
