River bed from earlier lahar flow

High mountains become sources of water for the entire neighborhood many kilometers away. In addition lahar flowing downhill brings future construction material to the region. Lahar river beds are exploited and emptied of all useful material left over from previous eruptions. Lava stones, black sand and more can be used as cheap construction material.
