Typically I ask permission to take pictures of roses or flowers, in many cases I purchase the roses or flowers to take the photos or I "borrow" roses for a fee ranging from a few dollars up depending on the number flowers borrowed and number of photos taken to assure that none of the many flower-angels and gardeners has to work for free. To grow flowers and particularly roses is a demanding and time consuming work that might take up to a few years to have the first rose blossoms appearing. Roses need care and love to develop the full natural beauty.
During today's photo session with flower arrangements I asked the flower girl I borrowed for an hour in charge of the arrangements about her salary ... 40 US $ per month ...
