Let photos speak - one picture may say more than 100 words - a small photo gallery of test / comparison pictures taken with the Carl Zeiss lense vs the original Sony lense.
My personal opinion is clear - the Carl Zeiss lenses are outstanding and result in superior quality, more brilliant colors and amazing contrast vs my earlier Sony 18-75 lense used for the same photography work.
Last months - August 2007 - I decided to purchase a few Carl Zeiss lenses for my Sony a100. An extensive Google search resulted in no pictures published for the Zeiss lenses - only camera and or lense reviews found. Hence I decided to make some of my first photos available to you for a direct comparison of images resulting from both lenses. It now is up to you to make up your mind and decide what lense to chose.

Availability of Carl Zeiss lenses for Sony A100 camera seems to be limited to Sony stores only. Price for the Vario-Sonnar T* 3,5-4,5/16-80 ZA and Planar T* 1.4/85 ZA lenses: Unimportant !! A Google search may give you a rough idea on current market prices.
If you want to earn good money, then you have to provide best possible quality !! With the daily expanding global competition thru the www - quality in all markets will one day be the key factor to success. Carl Zeiss lenses for the Sony A100 camera appear to have a more or less equal price around the globe. The price absolutely is justified by the superior quality of pictures produced as well as the far superior mechanical quality and robustness of the Carl Zeiss lenses.
