2. Adding the JavaScript code to your web page

design enhanced HTML editor (often referred to as WYSIWYG software), you
will need to access the source code of your web page. If you are manually
updating your site using notepad or other software that already provides
access to the source code of your pages, the JavaScript code should be
pasted into the main content of your web page between the BODY tags."

this above is done with SSI correctly. Myself i see a correct procedure
using true and original Google Adsense code in static content pages.

Thank you for your email. I understand you wish to know whether using a
Perl script to insert AdSense ad code into your page meets with our
program policies. Please understand that scripts inserting ad code into
pages are acceptable if they do not modify the ad code from your account.

For your reference, please also note that you can generate ad code from
your account that will automatically rotate up to 4 color palettes.  To
generate ad code with multiple palettes of your choice:

- Log in to your account at https://www.google.com/adsense 
- Click 'Ad layout code' under the 'Ad Settings' tab 
- Select up to 4 color palettes by holding down the Ctrl key 
- Choose the appropriate ad layout
- Copy-and-paste the AdSense ad code into your web pages
